The Next 3 Years – Where Do Our New Government Leaders Stand On Family Issues?

The Government has been decided, with a Labour – NZ First – Greens coalition announced last night. So what does that mean for the direction of some of the key social issues over the next 3 years?

It appears that there will be a strong push to liberalise laws around abortion, euthanasia, & marijuana. Gender ‘identity’ ideology, explicit sex education in schools, and the role of parents (for example, parental notification and fixing the anti-smacking law) will also be at risk. We’ve summarised these and other issues from our Value Your Vote resource, based on the responses from the three party leaders.

It seems pretty evident that our work – and your voice – are going to be vital over the next few years!
