Caitlyn Jenner, who this week made her first official appearance as a woman on the cover of Vanity Fair, is the latest person to fly the flag for transgender rights. And while there is still a long way to go, transgender people have never been in a better position legally or culturally. After revealing her struggles with her gender identity earlier in the year, Caitlyn Jenner speaks publicly for the first time since completing her gender transition in Vanity Fair’s July issue. She told the magazine “If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life.'”
