Family First NZ says that a video clip of John Key explaining his support for the Chester Borrow’s amendment has been removed in the past 48 hours.
“Although the explanation of the video and the comments are still present, the video presentation has disappeared,” says Bob McCoskrie, National Director of Family First NZ. “The timing is significant as the PM had the opportunity to support a private members bill which was virtually identical to the Borrow’s amendment.”
On TVNZ’s Breakfast programme earlier this month, John Key said “if we had been the government of the day, we would’ve gone to the Chester Borrows’ amendment, I’m not arguing about that actually.”
Family First is calling on National MP’s to demand a conscience vote on the Boscawen amendment and supporters have flooded MP’s with almost 300 emails since late last night.
