Children to get easier contraceptive access as pregnancies rise

Telegraph (UK) 06 Sep 06
Contraceptives are to be more easily available for children under Labour’s latest drive to tackle teenage pregnancy and social exclusion, Tony Blair pledged yesterday. The controversial move is part of a campaign that will focus on areas where teenage pregnancy rates are rising.
Anastasia de Waal, the head of family and education at the Right-wing think-tank Civitas, said: “There is already a huge emphasis on contraception and the Government should be doing more to show children the adverse outcomes of teenage pregnancy.”

Bob’s comment – “social exclusion”… now there’s an interesting term!! How about some doses of abstinence training and self control?;jsessionid=TH25SCQY3DVYZQFIQMGSFFWAVCBQWIV0?xml=/news/2006/09/06/npregnant06.xml
