TAXPAYER FUNDING PORN State broadcaster TVNZ reached an all-time low on Wednesday night with a promotion of the porn industry - all under the guise of so-called 'daily news and current events' - and funded by your taxes.Close Up says "No-one gets you closer" and on this particular programme, no-one got you closer to pornography and explicit images on a mainstream channel during the farcically-named 'family viewing hours'. You can view 3 photos from the show HERE. They are too offensive to put in this email - but will give you a quick glimpse of just where the show went. Warning - includes full frontal nudity You can view the full clip here - although we warn you that it contains offensive material that was beamed into family living rooms all over the country on Wednesday night TAKE ACTION: If you're offended and are sick of the tv channels having a race to the bottom of the moral cesspit, please do the following: 1. Email the Prime Minister John Key and the Minister of Broadcasting Jonathan Coleman demanding a clean-up of government funded broadcastingjohn.key@parliament.govt.nz jonathan.coleman@parliament.govt.nz Feel free to cut and paste the 3 photos to see whether they're offended as well! 2. Email Close Up and tell them what you think (politely of course!) closeup@tvnz.co.nz 3. Make an official complaint to the Broadcasting Standards Authority http://www.bsa.govt.nz/complain-formstandard.php (only takes a few moments) Standards breached are Standard 1 Good Taste and Decency Standard 9 Children’s Interests - During children’s normally accepted viewing times (see Appendix 1), broadcasters should consider the interests of child viewers. If we don't speak up, broadcasters will just continue to ignore the concerns of families and the welfare of children. Thanks for your voice. The standard we walk by is the standard we set (a great quote shared by Melinda Tankard Reist at last week's Forum) |
